Notation or commonly abbreviated as "not" is the symbol for the sound of music with two tertentu.Ada pitch of notes, the notes musical notes and numbers. Not numbers, as the name implies, the notation is denoted by numbers. While the notation of musical notes are represented by dots, either sessile or not that is placed in-line stave. Stave is a 5-spaced parallel lines and spaces are useful to put the emblem to indicate the duration of each tone and the tone heights. High tones depicted vertically while time (rhythm) depicted horizontally. The duration of the tone is indicated in beats. In the notation, the system of five striped staves used as a basis. Along with the description of the tempo, beats, dynamics, and instrumentation used, not placed on the staves and read from left to right. The duration of the tone is represented with a value not different, while the pitch is represented in the vertical position of the note on the stave. Interval that separated the two notes stave (which is located at two adjacent spaces) as depicted in the illustration below.

Reading notation of musical notes is a skill (sight reading skills) that must continuously sharpened at any time by the student. How not, so we learn a new song, the ability to read music will accelerate mastery of the song. From available statistics, the average - average pupils have difficulty in reading the musical notes that due to their lack of know how - the right way, or a teacher they do not know / less implement it at each teaching session.

Here below are the tips to develop the ability to read music (sight reading) with either:

Observation key (clef), scales (key signatures) and time signature (time signatures).

See keseleruhan from song to find things that are unexpected, such as: key changes, the interval of the octave, accidental (# / รพ)
Calculate the pulse and ritmiknya! Feel the pulse in our bodies to tap, clap, pat, and snaps! Choose a tempo that is not too fast or too slow! Rhythm is a very important factor in the ability of sight reading. Because without rhythm, the song would not be well formed, although not completely.
Sing tone with "la", "ma", "na" or tone alphabet "C", "D", "E" of each melody in the right hand and left hand separately.
Visualize the fingers on the piano keys are played without a ring it, place your fingers on your lap.
Play the song while still counting and feel the pulse while the eyes still looking at the score!
Assess your own game, whether accurate or not? If not, play once again in a slower tempo.
Definition of the term - the term Voice, Tone, Rhythm, Notation, melody, and harmony

The sound of music theory to explain how the sound notated or written and how the sound is captured in the mind of the listener. In music, the sound waves are not usually discussed in wavelength and period, but the frequency. Basic aspects of sound in music is usually described in tuning (pitch, ie pitch), duration (how long the vote there), intensity, and timbre (sound color).

Voice tone can be divided into a tone that has a certain pitch or tuning of frequency or high according to the relative distance to the pitch of the tone of the benchmark. The difference between the two tones tuning referred to as intervals. The tone can be set in different scales depending. The most common scales are major scales, minor scales, and pentatonic scales. Base notes of a piece of music to determine the frequency of each tone in these works. The tone in the western diatonic music theory identified into 12 tones, each of which is named the tones C, D, E, F, G, A and B. As well as a chromatic tones of the Cis / Des, Dis / Ice, Fis / Ges, Gis / As, and Ais / Bes.

Rhythm Rhythm is the arrangement of sounds in time. Bars is a division of the group beats in time. Time signature indicates the number of beats in time signatures and notes which are counted and considered as a single tap. Certain tones can be accentuated by giving the pressure (and the distinction duration).

Notation music notation written above is a depiction of the music. In the notation, pitch depicted vertically while time (rhythm) depicted horizontally. Both of these elements form the staves, in addition to the basic tone cues, tempo, dynamics, and so on. Can be used as, a symbol or to explain the high and low sounds or tones that form an image.

A melody is a series of melodic tones in time. The circuit can be sounded alone, ie without accompaniment, or may be part of a series of chords in time (usually the highest tone sequences in the chords). Melody tones are formed from a series of horizontally. The smallest unit of a melody is Motif. Motif is three or more tones that have the intent or meaning of the musical. Motif is a combination of Semi phrases, and a combination of Semi phrases are phrases (sentence). A most common melody usually consists of two phrases, namely Semi interrogative sentence (Antisiden) and responsible sentences (Consequent).

Harmony harmony in general can be said as the incidence of two or more tones sounded simultaneously with different height, although harmony can also occur when the tone - the tone is sounded sequentially (as in arpeggio). Harmony consisting of three or more tones are sounded simultaneously is usually called a chord.

for you who love music ni I had the article for you all and may be useful for you although less complete article

develop a variety of cognitive intelligence, emotional, and kinesthetic.

Vibration is often found in classical music can stimulate brain cells to function more active, can not be denied anymore. No wonder if the experts suggest ibuhamil making music for the fetus.

How big is the music influenced the development of 5-year olds? Musical activities are suitable for children, and how to develop their potential to the optimum musical?

Music is closely related to cognitive intelligence. Not only babies who respond quickly when he heard the song often heard while he was in the womb. Children aged 4-5 years to obtain various benefits by making music as part of their daily life.

Research University of Wisconsin, and physicists from the University of California, the United States said that the children who took music lessons, particularly piano, has the capability of abstraction that is needed in the study of mathematics and natural science. Interestingly, this ability is far higher than other children who are learning computer. Music does give a very rich stimulation for the listeners and practitioners.

Another study shows, music associated with creativity thinking and spatial skills of children. Preschoolers who get exercise music and dance shows excellent ability while learning about the body member and creativity. With music, the child develops an optimal capacity.

Penchant for children 5 years of music began to appear such as the joy he sang certain songs or follow the singer on TV singing style. He is also more fun experimenting with the songs he heard. Do not be surprised if he could knock on a table or spoon-fork follow the rhythm of the music he heard. He is also an expert familiar tune ups and downs, following the track by moving the body or snap his fingers when he heard the song kesayangannnya.

The more emotionally mature child, he was happy to get together and doing activities with their peers. Given the tremendous interest in the 5-year playing a musical instrument, taking a course is a great choice for children to more closely associate with music. No need to see whether gifted or not, take music lessons to maximize opportunities to develop themselves musically.

Is ready to children 5 years of music courses? The main goal involving a toddler music class, to train more musical sensitivity. Children need to recognize the rhythm, the right tone, the introduction of color the sound, tempo, dynamics and track high-low tone. This kind of exercise is important for children to recognize colors, sounds, and a master tone.

Creativity is like a breeze: fleeting, invisible and difficult to catch. Some people allow themselves to relax and relax, let alone the creativity came to them. Some people even work hard to get creative. I will tell you how you can do something that is fun and easy to bring their own creativity to be desired ... .. ie by "listening to music".

First, allow me to give you a little background about myself. I have a profession as a computer programmer. I write computer code most of the programs on my work hours. Programmers have ranked in the same category as artists, musicians and poets in terms of creating a creative output. Programmers have to be creative to find ingenious solutions that resolve technical problems.

At work, I use earphones to listen to music while I work through the program code. I can listen to the type of music that is highly variable. I possessed new age, instrumental and pop. I also have a backdrop of music with vocals Japan, Spain and France. I also listen to music from video games and anime.

How do I get the creative work? By bringing my mind to the place that is "high" so I can "see" more of everything. Secret of genius and creative imagination comes from high frequency vibration in the mind ("The mystery of sex transmutation" in Think and Grow Rich). You can listen to music in order to increase the frequency of your mind, so you can get to a higher place where creativity will come with free and happens by itself.

Perhaps the explanation above is too philosophical. On the physical side, the music and wake me-energizing your mind and body. Have you mengetukan feet on the floor while listening to your favorite song? Music with a fast tempo gets your heart pumping every cell in your body to get creative!

If you are trying to obtain creativity just relax would be too passive. Trying hard to get creativity will not work properly. Listening to music allows you to actively mengapai creativity and in an easy way. Because creativity ... will come by itself.

So, what is the key to the selection of music? Highly variable. You need to have music with a fast tempo, slow, and music with a tempo that is. If you only have music with a fast tempo (eg, pop / rock), your mind will be closed due to fatigue. It would be very good for menyelinginya with a graceful flow of music such as waltzes, to give your mind a rest pause. This prevents your mind trapped in a void and will provide continuous stimulation. Thus, the function "shuffle" feature on the ipod is very excellent and useful.

It's as well if you listen to music that can evoke strong emotions. I have some songs that can lead to sadness, joy, tranquility, or a song that can touch the heart with amazing lyrics. I can sometimes shed a tear. I can also smile and laugh uncontrollably. I believe in having a wide range of human emotion side is the most rapid to cause creativity.

Another key to the selection of music is familiarity. You should be familiar with most of the songs so you can sing the song and still be able to work (such as writing code in my case). I have not memorized a lot of the lyrics but the songs may be familiar. It might even be better if you do not know the words, because words can cause more severe your mind, especially if you are trying to work.

My personal experience is usually after listening to about 2 or 3 songs, I get into the mood for action. After about 15 minutes, I get into what some people call "The Zone". It is a process where I quickly get an idea, can think of graphic design, produce algorithm and my fingers can work quickly over the keyboard typing program code. "The Zone" is where you find out everything. If you ever mengapai creativity, you'll know when you're in The Zone. Everything will flow naturally.

For the record, this does not always work. Sometimes, I do not have the mood to do anything. Sometimes listening to favorite songs and I just listen to it alone and mouth the words (secretly of course. Sometimes, I even do not want to listen to any music. It's ok. I take it as a sign to do other things, such as setting the table or go wash your face. I have never experienced something effective to force creativity.

Listening to a wide variety of music with different tempos (and music can evoke emotions), will help you to mengapai creativity. So start to listen to music to get their creativity to solve problems and work your life right now!

History Rock and Roll

Rock and roll

The term "rock and roll" now has at least two different meanings, both in common usage: referring to the first wave of music that originated in the US in the 1950s and would later develop into the more encompassing international style known as "rock music", and as a term simply synonymous with the rock music and culture in the broad sense.[8] For the purpose of differentiation, this article deals with the first definition.Rock and roll (often written as rock & roll or rock 'n' roll) is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United Statesduring the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from a combination of African-American genres such as bluesjump bluesjazz, and gospel music, together with Western swing and country music. Though elements of rock and roll can be heard in blues records from the 1920s[5] and in country records of the 1930s,[4] the genre did not acquire its name until the 1950s.
In the earliest rock and roll styles of the late 1940s and early 1950s, either the piano or saxophone was often the lead instrument, but these were generally replaced or supplemented by guitar in the middle to late 1950s.[9] The beat is essentially a blues rhythm with an accentuated backbeat, the latter almost always provided by a snare drum.[10] Classic rock and roll is usually played with one or two electric guitars (one lead, one rhythm), a string bass or (after the mid-1950s) an electric bass guitar, and a drum kit.[9] Beyond simply a musical style, rock and roll, as seen in movies and on television, influenced lifestyles, fashion, attitudes, and language. In addition, rock and roll may have contributed to the civil rights movement because both African-American and white American teens enjoyed the music.[11] It went on to spawn various sub-genres, often without the initially characteristic backbeat, that are now more commonly called simply "rock music" or "rock".

Terminology

Origins

The origins of rock and roll have been fiercely debated by commentators and historians of music. There is general agreement that it arose in the Southern United States – a region which would produce most of the major early rock and roll acts – through the meeting of various influences that embodied a merging of the African musical tradition with European instrumentation. The migration of many former slaves and their descendants to major urban centers such as Memphis, New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland and Buffalo (See: Second Great Migration (African American)) meant that black and white residents were living in close proximity in larger numbers than ever before, and as a result heard each other's music and even began to emulate each other's fashions.] Radio stations that made white and black forms of music available to both groups, the development and spread of the gramophone record, and African American musical styles such as jazzand swing which were taken up by white musicians, aided this process of "cultural collision".
In the 1930s jazz, and particularly swing, both in urban based dance bands and blues-influenced country swing, was among the first music to present African American sounds for a predominantly white audience. The 1940s saw the increased use of blaring horns (including saxophones), shouted lyrics and boogie woogie beats in jazz based music. During and immediately after World War II, with shortages of fuel and limitations on audiences and available personnel, large jazz bands were less economical and tended to be replaced by smaller combos, using guitars, bass and drums. In the same period, particularly on the West Coast and in the Midwest, the development of jump blues, with its guitar riffs, prominent beats and shouted lyrics, prefigured many later developments. In the documentary film Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' RollKeith Richards proposes that Chuck Berry developed his brand of rock and roll, by transposing the familiar two-note lead line of jump blues piano directly to the electric guitar, creating what is instantly recognizable as rock guitar. Similarly, country boogie and Chicago electric blues supplied many of the elements that would be seen as characteristic of rock and roll.
Because the development of rock and roll was an evolutionary process, no single record can be identified as unambiguously "the first" rock and roll record. Contenders for the title of "first rock and roll record" include Goree Carter's "Rock Awhile" (1949); Jimmy Preston's "Rock the Joint" (1949), which was later covered by Bill Haley & His Comets in 1952; and "Rocket 88" by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats (backed by Ike Turner and his band The Kings of Rhythm), recorded by Sam Phillips for Sun Records in March 1951. In terms of its wide cultural impact across society in the US and elsewhere, Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock",[ recorded in April 1954 but not a commercial success until the following year, is generally recognized as an important milestone, but it was preceded by many recordings from earlier decades in which elements of rock and roll can be clearly discerned. Other artists with early rock and roll hits included Chuck Berry, Bo DiddleyFats DominoLittle RichardJerry Lee Lewis, and Gene Vincent.[33] Chuck Berry's 1955 classic "Maybellene" in particular features a distorted electric guitar solo with warm overtones created by his small valve amplifier. However, the use of distortion was predated by Guitar SlimWillie Johnson of Howlin' Wolf's band,[ and Pat Hare; the latter two also made use of distorted power chords in the early 1950s. In addition, Bo Diddley introduced a new beat and unique electric guitar style, heavily influenced byAfrican music and in turn influencing many later artists.

Doo wop was one of the most popular forms of 1950s rhythm and blues, often compared with rock and roll, with an emphasis on multi-part vocal harmonies and meaningless backing lyrics (from which the genre later gained its name), which were usually supported with light instrumentation.[ Its origins were in African American vocal groups of the 1930s and 40s, like the Ink Spots and the Mills Brothers, who had enjoyed considerable commercial success with arrangements based on close harmonies. They were followed by 1940s R&B vocal acts like The OriolesThe Ravens and The Clovers, who injected a strong element of traditional gospel and, increasingly, the energy of jump blues. By 1954, as rock and roll was beginning to emerge, a number of similar acts began to cross over from the R&B charts to mainstream success, often with added honking brass and saxophone, withThe CrowsThe PenguinsThe El Dorados and The Turbans all scoring major hits. Despite the subsequent explosion in records from doo wop acts in the later 50s, many failed to chart or were one-hit wonders. Exceptions included The Platters, with songs including "The Great Pretender" (1955) and The Coasters with humorous songs like "Yakety Yak" (1958), both of which ranked among the most successful rock and roll acts of the era.[51] Towards the end of the decade there were increasing numbers of white, particularly Italian American, singers taking up Doo Wop, creating all-white groups like The Mystics and Dion and the Belmonts and racially integrated groups like The Dell Vikings and The Impalas. Doo wop would be a major influence on vocal surf music, soul and early Merseybeat, including The Beatles.

Cover versions

Covers were customary in the music industry at the time; it was made particularly easy by the compulsory license provision of United States copyright law (still in effect). One of the first relevant successful covers was Wynonie Harris's transformation of Roy Brown's 1947 original jump blues hit "Good Rocking Tonight" into a more showy rocker[59] and the Louis Prima rocker "Oh Babe" in 1950, as well as Amos Milburn's cover of what may have been the first white rock and roll record, Hardrock Gunter's "Birmingham Bounce" in 1949. The most notable trend, however, was white pop covers of black R&B numbers. The more familiar sound of these covers may have been more palatable to white audiences, there may have been an element of prejudice, but labels aimed at the white market also had much better distribution networks and were generally much more profitable. Famously, Pat Boone recorded sanitized versions of Little Richard songs. Later, as those songs became popular, the original artists' recordings received radio play as well.

British rock and roll

In the 1950s, Britain was well placed to receive American rock and roll music and culture. It shared a common language, had been exposed to American culture through the stationing of troops in the country, and shared many social developments, including the emergence of distinct youth sub-cultures, which in Britain included the Teddy BoysTrad Jazz became popular, and many of its musicians were influenced by related American styles, including boogie woogie and the blues. The skiffle craze, led by Lonnie Donegan, utilised amateurish versions of American folk songs and encouraged many of the subsequent generation of rock and roll, folk, R&B and beat musicians to start performing. At the same time British audiences were beginning to encounter American rock and roll, initially through films including Blackboard Jungle (1955) and Rock Around the Clock (1955). Both movies contained the Bill Haley & His Comets hit "Rock Around the Clock", which first entered the British charts in early 1955 – four months before it reached the US pop charts – topped the British charts later that year and again in 1956, and helped identify rock and roll with teenage delinquency. American rock and roll acts such asElvis PresleyLittle RichardBuddy HollyChuck Berry and Carl Perkins thereafter became major forces in the British charts.
The initial response of the British music industry was to attempt to produce copies of American records, recorded with session musicians and often fronted by teen idols. More grassroots British rock and rollers soon began to appear, including Wee Willie Harris and Tommy Steele. During this period American Rock and Roll remained dominant; however, in 1958 Britain produced its first "authentic" rock and roll song and star, when Cliff Richard reached number 2 in the charts with "Move It". At the same time, TV shows such as Six-Five Specialand Oh Boy! promoted the careers of British rock and rollers like Marty Wilde and Adam Faith. Cliff Richard and his backing band, The Shadows, were the most successful home grown rock and roll based acts of the era.[79] Other leading acts included Billy FuryJoe Brown, and Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, whose 1960 hit song "Shakin' All Over" became a rock and roll standard.
As interest in rock and roll was beginning to subside in America in the late 1950s and early 1960s, it was taken up by groups in major British urban centres like Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and London. About the same time, a British blues scene developed, initially led by purist blues followers such as Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies who were directly inspired by American musicians such as Robert JohnsonMuddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. Many groups moved towards the beat music of rock and roll and rhythm and blues from skiffle, like the Quarrymen who became The Beatles, producing a form of rock and roll revivalism that carried them and many other groups to national success from about 1963 and to international success from 1964, known in America as the British Invasion. Groups that followed The Beatles included the beat-influenced Freddie and the DreamersThe SearchersWayne Fontana and the MindbendersHerman's Hermits and The Dave Clark Five, and more directly blues-influenced groups including The AnimalsThe KinksThe Rolling StonesThe Who and The Yardbirds. As the blues became an increasingly significant influence, leading to the creation of the blues rock of groups like The Moody BluesSmall FacesThe MoveTraffic and Cream, and developing into rock music, the influence of early rock and roll began to subside.

Cultural impact

Race

In the crossover of African American "race music" to a growing white youth audience, the popularization of rock and roll involved both black performers reaching a white audience and white performers appropriating African American music. Rock and roll appeared at a time when racial tensions in the United States were entering a new phase, with the beginnings of the civil rights movement for desegregation, leading to the Supreme Court ruling that abolished the policy of "separate but equal" in 1954, but leaving a policy which would be extremely difficult to enforce in parts of the United States. The coming together of white youth audiences and black music in rock and roll inevitably provoked strong white racist reactions within the US, with many whites condemning its breaking down of barriers based on color.[11] Many observers saw rock and roll as heralding the way for desegregation, in creating a new form of music that encouraged racial cooperation and shared experience. Many authors have argued that early rock and roll was instrumental in the way both white and black teenagers identified themselves.

Teen culture

Several rock historians have claimed that rock and roll was one of the first music genres to define an age group. It gave teenagers a sense of belonging, even when they were alone. Rock and roll is often identified with the emergence of teen culture among the first baby boomer generation, who had both greater relative affluence, leisure and who adopted rock and roll as part of a distinct sub-culture. This involved not just music, absorbed via radio, record buying, jukeboxes and TV programs like American Bandstand, but it also extended to film, clothes, hair, cars and motorbikes, and distinctive language. The contrast between parental and youth culture exemplified by rock and roll was a recurring source of concern for older generations, who worried about juvenile delinquency and social rebellion, particularly as to a large extent rock and roll culture was shared by different racial and social groups.
